The length (- - -) and width (···) of the primary liquid sheet are defined. The jet speed can also be inferred by using droplets formed from Rayleigh-plateau instability. The central inlet delivers the liquid sample, while the impinging gas line forms the sheet, and the sheath gas ensures stable operation in vacuum conditions.
