Analyse quantitative des carbures mixtes biphasés d'uranium et de plutonium par diffraction de rayons X

The proportions of MC and M₂C₃ phases [where M = (U-Pu)] in two-phased mixed carbides (U-Pu)C have been measured at various compositions by an X-ray diffraction method. This method is based upon the comparison of integrated intensities of X-ray lines and allows a rapid determination of the amount of sesquicarbide M₂C₃ with a detection limit around 0.5 % and a relative accuracy better than 5%.
