Methylammonium manganese(II) trichloride dihydrate crystallizes with a monoclinic unit cell, a = 7.795 (2), b = 9.154 (2), c = 11.462 (4) Å, β = 91.28 (3)°, space group P2₁/c. Its structure is related to that of α-RbMnCl₃.2H₂O.
