Electron diffraction patterns and extinction distances in rutile TiO₂

The primary transmission electron diffraction patterns for rutile (TiO₂) have been obtained with the use of single crystals and a standard goniometer stage. The patterns have been indexed and the occurrence of spots is explained. Kikuchi patterns and extinction distances have been also computed. These data will be useful for electron-microscope observations of rutile-type oxides and difluorides.
