An assessment of the performance of a diffracted-beam monochromator in single-crystal diffractometry

Analysis of Bragg X-ray intensities collected on a single-crystal diffractometer with a pyrolitic graphite monochromator in the diffracted beam has revealed small systematic errors which are a consequence of the necessarily large illuminated area of monochromator crystal.
