NaM^IIZr₂F₁₁ (M^II = Mn, Fe, Co, Ni, Zn) Fluorides

The crystal structures of the fluorides NaM^IIZr₂F₁₁ (M^II = Mn, Fe, Co, Ni, Zn) have been refined using single-crystal X-ray diffraction data; these compounds are isostructural with AgPdZr₂F₁₁. Attempts to prepare the analogous Cr^II and Cu^II fluorides failed, probably because these cations would show a strong Jahn-Teller effect.
