An in situ sample chamber designed for synchrotron grazing-incidence small-angle X-ray scattering measurements of polymer film microstructure as a function of temperature is described. The chamber operates in a He environment and can be used to perform thermal quenching measurements for time-dependent monitoring of phase transformation kinetics. Preliminary data on a symmetric styrene-butadiene polymer are presented.
