metal-organic compounds
In the structure of [MnCl3(C10H8N2)(H2O)], the MnIII atom has a distorted octahedral coordination. In the basal plane the metal atom is coordinated to the bipyridyl ligand and two Cl atoms. The apical positions are occupied by a Cl atom and an aqua ligand. In the crystal, polymeric chains are formed via H2OCl hydrogen bonds.
