Hydrogen-Bonding Pattern of a Bicyclic γ-Keto Acid: (−)-anti-Isoketopinic Acid

(–)-1,7-dimethyl-2-oxobicyclo[2.2.1]heptane-7-anti-carboxylic acid, C₁₀H₁₄O₃, crystallizes in space group P4₁ and forms intermolecular carboxyl-to-ketone hydrogen-bonded chains (catemers). The hydrogen-bonded chains are orthogonal to the 4₁ screw axis and involve translationally related molecules.
