The crystal structure of 2-aminophenylammonium dihydrogenphosphate, C6H9N2+.H2PO4−, consists of layers built up from H2PO4− tetrahedra alternating with singly protonated orthophenylenediamine molecules. Two types of hydrogen bond, O—H
O and N—H
O, ensure the cohesion and stability of the structure.
