The title molecule, C₂₄H₁₈O₂, is the sole product of photolysis of a phenyl-carbomethoxy-dibenzobarrelene derivative, has a dibenzosemibullvalene structure, 8c-phenyl and 8b-methoxycarbonyl substituents, and normal bond lengths and angles.
