The nearly planar aroylhydrazone molecule in the title compound, C₁₄H₁₃N₃O₂.2H₂O, exists as the keto tautomer in the solid with an E configuration across the C=N bond. The crystal structure is stabilized by extensive hydrogen bonding involving the water and the hydrazone molecules.
