(Dimethyl sulfoxide-S)methyl(1,10-phenanthroline-N,N')platinum(II) Hexafluorophosphate

The title compound, [Pt(CH₃)(C₂H₆OS)(C₁₂H₈N₂)]PF₆, is comprised of square-planar Pt^II complex cations and PF₆^- anions. The crystal packing is determined mainly by graphitic interactions between the phenanthroline rings, whose mean planes are parallel and at a distance of 3.68 Å.
