Ethyl 2,4,6-Triphenyl-1,2,5,6-tetrahydropyrimidine-5-carboxylate at 173K

The crystal and molecular structure of the title compound, C₂₅H₂₄N₂O₂, was determined at 173 K. Bond lengths and angles are in the usual ranges. The tetrahydropyrimidine heterocycle displays a half-chair conformation. The phenyl ring attached at C2 is nearly coplanar with the plane of the heterocycle. An intramolecular hydrogen bond is formed between the N-H group and the carbonyl group.
