Dichloro(⁶-hexamethylbenzene)(pyridine-N)ruthenium

The title compound, [RuCl₂(C₁₂H₁₈)(C₅H₅N)], crystallizes with two discrete independent molecules per asymmetric unit. In each molecule the Ru atom displays a `piano stool' configuration.
