Schematic diagram of the CMOS electronics associated with each pixel of the PAD. The X-ray sensitive photodiode is bonded to the pixel input node. Current from the conversion of X-rays in the diode is integrated in the input stage and stored on one of the eight switched capacitors, C1–C8. The output stage buffers the stored voltage for transmission to the output. The switches shown control the various operating modes: IR, integrator reset; SE, store enable; RE, read enable; OR, output reset; OE, output enable; and BS, bias select. Vb is a bias voltage. |
