Relation between the rotation axis and parameters of the monochromator. The origin of the azimuthal axis, [\varphi], is defined as the direction which gives a maximum asymmetric angle, [\alpha_{0}], and the offset between [\varphi] = 0 and the axial direction of the cylinder is 90° − [\psi]. The azimuthal axis, [\varphi], is perpendicular to the reflection plane.
