FhuA-ferrichrome-iron complex (PDB code 1FCP; Ferguson et al., 1998BB12). The protein structure is drawn as ribbons and the ferrichrome is represented by ball-and-sticks. FhuA is composed of a β-barrel domain formed by 22 antiparallel β-strands and a cork domain, which fills the barrel interior.
