Isolated close-up view of the two conformational states of the Rieske protein (PDB codes 1BCC and 3BCC; Zhang et al., 1998BB44). The iron–sulfur cluster in one conformation (purple) is in contact with the cytochrome b (black) with two heme group (red) and stigmatellin (green at the bottom), while the Fe–S cluster in the other conformational state (green) is located closely to the heme group (red at the top) of cytochrome c1.
