Recorded diffraction pattern (logarithmic scale) from a DSPC lipid sample; the pattern which corresponds to an area of 68 × 88 mm2 (340 × 440 pixel) was acquired by composing 3 × 4 images which have been recorded separately; (a) shadow of the vacuum vessel, (b) shadow of the beam stop, (c) first-order diffraction ring, (d) second-order diffraction ring, and (e) third-order diffraction ring.
