Three-dimensional reconstruction of the uranium content of an artificial sample. Several holes were drilled at different positions and with different angles in an aluminium cylinder. The holes were then filled with uranyl nitrate (the mean density of uranium in this powder equals 1 g cm−3). Granules can be clearly observed in the upper less compressed part.
