(a) Tellurium LI-edge Fd-XANES/XNCD spectra. (b) Optical FT spectra of the Fd-XNCD spectra: experiment versus theories. Theory 1 includes only the shortest Te⋯O1⋯O2⋯Te chiral paths; theory 2 includes Te⋯Te1⋯Te2⋯Te or Te⋯Te1⋯O2⋯Te chiral paths as well. All FT spectra were tentatively corrected for the phase and amplitude of the shortest multiple-scattering path.
