N 1s2π* → 1s(π*)2 photoabsorption spectrum of NO. A contribution of about 1–2% from N2 gas is included in the fitted spectrum. This small amount of N2 impurity is probably due to the photodissociation of NO by the soft X-ray light (Püttner et al., 1999BB14).
