The fitting model is dominated by the calculation of the amplitude parameters for the in-plane and out-of-plane Co–Co and Co–Pt contributions. a represents [\alpha] and b represents [\beta]. Note that the polarization dependence here is particularly easy as the f.c.c. structure fixes all angles to be [\pi/4] or [\pi/2].
