Time-resolved rocking curves for the 004 reflection from laser-irradiated GaAs. The solid and dashed curves represent the rocking curves 500 ps after and 70 ps before laser irradiation, respectively. The laser power density at the surface of the GaAs wafer is 17 mJ cm-2. The Bragg peak is shifted by about -2.5 arcsec without any change in the profile.
