(b) Time courses of the coordination numbers of six shells of backscatterers resulting from a joint fit of eight EXAFS spectra. The points are the coordination numbers as determined by the joint fit; the solid lines were calculated based on the consecutive reaction shown in Fig. 6[link]. The good agreement between calculated and experimentally determined coordination numbers confirms the validity of the reaction scheme used (Pospisil et al., 2002BB42).
