Resonant-scattering results for a Ho single-crystal plate with (100) orientation. The plot shows the evolution of the reciprocal space scans in the L direction as the energy of the incoming beam is changed across the L₃ edge of Ho at 8071 eV. The appearance of extra peaks at different positions is a signature of multipolar scattering of Ho.
