K-edge attenuation (i.e. negative logarithm of measured transmission) of a Ta foil of thickness t = 100  \microm, measured with both the premonochromatizedX-rays and the high-resolution X-rays. The high-resolution monochromator selected a narrow 5 eV-wide slice out of the broader 90 eV bandwidth profile (also shown) exiting the premonochromator.
