Radial distribution function obtained for the L3 edge of Am observed after sorption on Wellenberg groundwater colloids for the 2 × 10−2 M bicarbonate solution (solid line) and a fit (using FEFFIT) to the data (dashed line). No Am–Am signal was observed from these EXAFS data corresponding to single-adsorbed species rather than precipitates.
