Sections through the first Si(111) crystals used in the monochromator. The holes are 1.5 mm in diameter through the 60 mm-thick crystal. The minimum hot wall thickness is 1.5 mm, the holes are 3 and 4 mm apart and located on the arc of a 38 mm-radius circle.
