Evolution of the cubic 220 reflection in Fe0.93O to 51 GPa. The structure is still cubic at 22.8 GPa, as shown by the detail of the unsplit 220 peak with satellite reflections shown inset (origin is to the right). Splitting of the R(110) and R(104) reflections is completely resolved in the 27–50 GPa pressure range, and Δd/〈d〉 increases from 0.038 at 27 GPa to 0.054 at 51 GPa. There is no indication of additional splitting over this pressure range.
