The widths ΔW and the peak positions ΔX of the enhanced edges are plotted as a function of the distance L2; both increase linearly with L2. The increase of the geometrical penumbral blurring due to the source size is also indicated. ΔB is determined by the source size (d), the distance between the source and object (L1) and the distance between the object and the image plane (L2). It is calculated as ΔB = dL2/L1.
