Dependence of the reduction rates k1 (a) and k2 (b) of ferric (Fe3+) myoglobin to ferrous (Fe2+) myoglobin on the ascorbate concentration in the cryoprotectant solution, obtained from the time evolution of the absorption difference between the 566 nm and 555 nm bands. No influence on the reduction rate is observed.
