Influence of the glycerol concentration on the rates k1 (a) and k2 (b) of the reduction of ferric (Fe3+) myoglobin to ferrous (Fe2+) myoglobin at 100 K, derived from the time evolution of the absorption difference between the 566 nm and 555 nm bands. The rate constants of 0 and 40% glycerol were normalized for σ to fit the other rate constants. The rates decrease at higher glycerol concentrations.
