Diffraction pattern of a plastic-embedded protein crystal. Despite the apparent cracks within the crystal (Fig. 1[link]), a single lattice diffraction pattern could be obtained. The mosaicity was 1.0°. The diffuse-scattering ring comes from the plastic, whereas no diffuse water ring can be observed.
