Scattered intensity from pure aqueous SNase solutions at 1% (w/v) in 50 mM TrisBis buffer at pH 5.5. The scattering profile was calibrated to absolute intensity units (cm−1) by normalizing the intensity to the previously measured water scattering profile and by dividing it by the volume fraction of the dissolved SNase particles. The form factor is calculated from a three-dimensional molecular model (PDB entry 1EY0) using the software package CRYSOL and refined to the experimental data.
