No direct information about dynamics can thus be obtained using this method. (a) Initial grain structure of a metal. (b) A well annealed grain structure shows evidence of tangled dislocations after some deformation. (c) With more deformation, these form into dislocation structures. (d) Upon annealing, new nuclei form and grow from this deformed matrix. |
