The inset shows the near-edge region of the Si LII,III edges normalized to the area between 95 and 110 eV. Bottom: RSMS calculations of the Si L edges in Si for the same q and with the same normalization. The wide spectra have been calculated neglecting the core hole–electron interaction while it has been accounted for in the near-edge calculations presented in the inset.
