Equatorial 1DWAXD patterns at different times during the experiment. The 2 s frames acquired during shear and right after shear do not show any crystalline peaks and are essentially the same as the amorphous 10 s frame acquired before shear. A 120 s frame was acquired at time 400 s after flow (when the temperature is still 433 K), and shows a better signal-to-noise ratio but no evidence of crystalline peaks. Finally a pattern acquired after cooling has begun shows the location of the typical α-phase crystalline peaks for isotactic polypropylene. There is a limited number of channels that do not follow Gaussian statistics, which are not taken into account for data analysis. |
