Fit errors for the one-, two- and three-variable fits characterized in Table 1[link]. Although the RMS values are not very different, note that the three-variable fit (triangles) does visibly better at the Fe3+ end than the two-variable fit (circles) or the one-variable fit (crosses). The ordinates are shifted upwards by 0.5, 2 and 3.5 units for clarity.
