Principle of multi-detection in an X-ray scattering experiment using a small spot size at the sample. For sufficiently good spatial resolution, each point P on an area detector corresponds to unique values of αf and 2θ. The diffuse scattering at different values of these angles is probed in a parallel measurement without scanning the sample (fixed αi and ω). The angular resolution depends on the spot size at the sample, the spatial resolution of the detector and the distance between detector and sample. |
