The measured values (squares) are connected with lines to emphasize dramatic dips in intensity owing to diffraction from the diamond anvils. The solid arc near the top of the plot indicates the approximate intensity fall-off expected owing to the increase in path length through the diamonds as the DAC is rotated. The shaded portions detail the rocking range for Fig. 7[link]: the shaded portions on the far left and right indicate the limits of the rocking range, whereas the two narrow shaded portions indicate regions omitted from the total rocking range.
