Two absorption-contrast images of a human cervical carcinoma cell at E2 = 706.3 eV (a) and E1 = 703.1 eV (b). The image size, step and number of pixels are 18 µm × 18 µm, 50 nm and 360 × 360, respectively. The image (a) obtained at E2 = 706.3 eV has intense absorption, and the signal of image (b) obtained at E1 = 703.1 eV is flat compared with image (a).
