Linear fits to the data are in black. For the 100 K plot the correlation between ΔB and dnc is −0.13 and the slope of the linear fit is −0.03 Å. At 160 K the correlation and slope become −0.44 and −0.31 Å, respectively. (b) ΔB versus dnc averaged over each residue type. Between 100 K (top) and 160 K (bottom) the correlation between ΔB and dnc improves significantly, from −0.23 to −0.81 (excluding methionine).
