Simulations of focal spot versus lens diameter for parabolic and elliptic shapes. The source is a typical diamond undulator at E = 8 keV (approximated with a Gaussian source of σy = 7 µm, σy′ = 8 µrad). The theoretical broadening owing to diffraction (an Airy disk of 1.22λq/h) is also shown, as well as the theoretical spot size (2.35σyq/p).
