Histogram of released protein structure coordinates per year from the PDB (data were taken from the BioSync web page, https://biosync.sbkb.org/ ). As a consequence of the 12-months hold on deposited structures, the deposition numbers for 2011 will only be finalized by the end of 2012. Status from 9 February 2012.
