Calculated dose profile for a single microbeam array of a 10 mm × 14 mm irradiation field. The peak-to-valley dose ratio calculated at a depth of 1 cm in a rat head is 22.4, resulting in a maximum valley dose of 18.6 Gy. The in-microbeam entrance dose was 480 Gy, delivering a 418 Gy peak dose at 1 cm depth.
