Calculated X-ray transmission through an X-ray transmission cell containing 3 mm-thick water as a function of photon energy. The values are calculated for different momentum transfer (q) conditions. qmin and qmax are the minimum and maximum q values, respectively, to which specular X-ray reflectivity data can be measured using a current transmission cell (see Table 1[link]), calculated based on the sample length (for qmin) and the vertical cell opening (for qmax).
