Dose map of the Standard data collection described in §1.1[link] (100 µm × 100 µm × 100 µm crystal, 20 µm × 20 µm FWHM beam, 90° wedge). The dark lines around the outside represent the edges of the crystal and the rotation axis is along the thin yellow line coming out of the plane of the page. The blue dotted isosurface represents the surface enclosing 95% of the absorbed dose (0.61 MGy), and the red dotted isosurface represents the Henderson limit of 20 MGy (Henderson, 1990BB9). For this example, the region in the middle suffers a dose of 26.8 MGy, which is just below the 30 MGy experimental dose limit (Owen et al., 2006BB21). The colour bar for the y-axis slice is shown to the right.
