Example of a reconstructed plane spanned by the [100]* and [010]* lattice vectors creating a map of the (001)* plane in a system with a LaAlO3 thin film on a SrTiO3 substrate. The very small lattice mismatch in between the SrTiO3 and the LaAlO3 lattice cells is still well resolved.
